Business

Somewhere between the customer, the engineer and the business.

Operating principle / 001

I started in computer science, then moved through marketing, business development, technical sales and product work.

The job titles changed. The underlying work did not.

Understand what someone actually needs. Work out what the technology and organisation can realistically deliver. Turn the gap between the two into something concrete.

Market entry

FROM DEMO
TO MARKET.

Problem /

A successful demonstration is not the same thing as a viable market entry.

My role /

Connect local requirements, partners, hardware, engineering, pricing, business-case development and follow-on commercial planning.

Objective /

Turn one technical reference into a practical route toward repeatable deployment.

Products integrated

40+ PRODUCTS.
ONE DEPLOYMENT STANDARD.

Friction /

Supplier specifications do not automatically become reliable field deployments.

Intervention /

Stronger specifications, integration documentation, hardware validation and testing.

I helped move a loss-making B2C electronics business toward a profitable hybrid B2C/B2B refurbishment model while building processes around inventory, sales, technician allocation and international shipping.

04 / Method

How I tend to work

01

Find the actual problem

The first request is not always the real requirement. I prefer understanding what is actually broken before reaching for a solution.

02

Translate across functions

Customers, engineers, suppliers and commercial teams often describe different parts of the same problem. I like connecting them.

03

Make it concrete

Analysis should end somewhere useful: a decision, specification, test, proposal, process, experiment or next step.

04

Stay close to execution

Strategy becomes more useful when you can see what happens after the slide deck, specification or business case leaves the room.

05

Think beyond the first deployment

A pilot becomes much more valuable when it also reveals how something can be priced, partnered, replicated and scaled.

Income inequality, entrepreneurial entry, and the moderating effect of institutional quality and labour market conditions.

Quantitative panel analysis using large cross-country datasets. A useful counterweight to the practical work I do: what does the evidence actually support?

GOT A ME$$Y
PROBLEM?

Product. Strategy. Operations. Commercial.

If you are building something complicated, entering somewhere new, fixing something that does not quite work, or trying to make technical and commercial teams understand each other, there is probably something worth discussing.
